To prepare the soil, remove any large rocks or debris. Fluff the top layer lightly with a rake, ready to receive the hydroseed.
A new lawn should be mowed as soon as the first blades are 3-4`` high, even if the whole lawn has not yet reached that height. Mowing will stimulate root growth and help the lawn grow thicker.
